30 Days

So... 30 days.
That's how long until Move-In Day is upon us. Well actually now it is 25 days because I started this post awhile ago but still... It's almost the same right? Anyway 30 sounds better than 25 days. It rolls off the tongue easier. There's just so much to do in these next 30 days, it doesn't seem possible. Finish dorm shopping, finish packing, starting lessons for chemistry, doing the safety classes, quitting my first and favorite job, saying goodbyes to my closest friends, etc. Geez I still have not figured out my best friend's username on Skype! We still need to do a practice session!
It's tough to try to spend time with everyone. Everyone is leaving at different times, some sooner than others. You feel the need to spend time with the friends leaving soon but also there's your family. The people you have spent your entire life with. The people who made you who you are. I'm learning how hard it is to divide your time up between everyone. You always feel like you are neglecting someone. It feels like a lose-lose situation. Right now I've given up on totally dividing my time and just living my life.

Just a Ram Aiming to be Auspicious

Well hello all,
I'm a small town girl leaving for a big town life. I have created this blog to let people see into the inner workings of my life, specifically college. This fall I am attending Colorado State University to study biomedical engineering and mechanical engineering. I have always been interested in the way the body works and how technology is created to help the human body regain health or work properly again. I am moving halfway across the country in order to do this (talk about scary). I have never been without the security of parents and comfort of friends before. It is an exciting and terrifying journey. I am leaving my two gorgeous, lovable dogs, my parents, my brother, my best friends, and the state behind. I will experience new places, new friends, new foods, moving out, moving in, etc. It's going to be a rush and I am so thrilled. GO RAMS!!!!

I also live in multiple "fandoms" and enjoy what all of them have to offer! I am obsessed with Sherlock, want to go to Hogwarts, and try to stay out of the Quarter Quell in my dreams! ;) I love dogs, turtles, and chickens and happen to own all three! I have a tendency to use too many ellipses (...) and never match any color scheme. I love to live in the moment and make others laugh. I'm a little quirky but hey why not? I always try to have a smile on my face because as Mother Theresa says "We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do." :)
