Colorado Life and Halloween Adventures

Hey Bloggers,
I am sorry I have not posted in a while. School and life has been absolutely insane here in Colorado. Move-In day went pretty smoothly, thanks to my lovely family. I am so thankful for them. I love this state more than I can express in words. I have definitely found my state.

I am learning so much and it feels so good. College is THE time to expand your mind. You become more open minded, eager to explore new things. When you get to college, you learn to try new things, partly because you have to but also because everyone else is. You just get this feeling that you are not being judged anymore. You can feel free to be yourself and you will still find friends. It is absolutely incredible.

Although I have already gone through some rough times, and some good times, overall this experience is one I would never choose differently. The people I have met here are absolutely incredible and I can not believe that I am this close to them already. So many laughs, memories, and good times already. I have seen Colorado with them. I took my first real hike with them and felt on top of the world.

I got to see Sports Authority Field, where the Broncos play, which was incredibly cool. It was awesome to see the Rams play in a professional field. Even though we lost, the team spirit in the stadium was so prominent. I SAID I'M PROUD TO BE A CSU RAM!!!!

The mountains are something that I am never going to get tired of. They are so unbelievably gorgeous. The sunrises are gorgeous, the sunsets are astonishing, and when the sun is high in the sky and lighting up the mountains, it is breathtaking. Pictures can't even describe the complexity and beauty of the Rockies. Last weekend getting to take a small hike with my parents in Horsetooth in the mountains was amazing. I had a blast and can't wait to see them again. Sharing the mountains with my parents was just incredible. Enjoying the sights and taking pictures together was so much fun. All weekend, I was trying to get them to see the mountains in the morning, but of course it didn't happen until they left. Below you can see the mountains at sunrise.
Thanksgiving Break is just around the corner and I am beyond excited to go home and finally see my brother. I miss him beyond words. I can not wait to come back and see how much he has improved in cooking. I am so proud of him and miss him so much. Thanksgiving break also means so much time with family and friends. Even though I have hated on Iowa in the past, it does have some good qualities. Nobody out here eats corn, and boy, do I miss that! I can't wait to be back home, even though that does mean when I come back, finals are here. So much fun, right?
In other thoughts, last night was Halloween and I really branched out. A haunted corn maze and a scary movie. It was a great experience, although it was terrifying! I had a blast dressing up with my friends and going out to get $3 burritos from Chipotle. I had so much fun last night with all my friends! I totally went as a quidditch player from Harry Potter, because I am a complete geek and don't care! :)

The corn maze was mildly terrifying, if you can't tell by our faces, but it was a blast!

I am going to try and blog a little bit more, to keep everyone updated on the crazy adventures of my life. If anyone wants to chat, don't be afraid to reach out! :D
